Self sufficient Power Supply in Building Automation

The contents of the lecture is shown in short below:

Additional to the public power supply of the power supply company a self sufficient power supply will be necessary in several areas of the building services engineering in case of the breakdown of the public systems.

Even in the course of the privatisation of the Power Industry the compunctions about the security of public systems erase so that more and more operators of buildings think about self sufficient power supply systems for some technical areas. For some types of buildings self sufficient power supply is required by the legislator for several parts of the technical systems.

The result of the lecture has to be to present several systems of self sufficient power supplies and to show several ways how to realize.

Areas where a self sufficent power supply will be established for example:

• Hospital
• Jugdement-Buildings
• Activity Centers
• Multi-storey Buildings
• Bank- and Insurance Buildings
• Data-Centers
• Telecommunication Centers
• Industry

From partsupply for safety needs or uninterruptable power supply for data-network up to the full supply for telecommunication-network or in Industry the adequate conception and the necessary systems are shown, for example:

• Diesel- or emergency power systems based on gas
• Einsatz von Blockheizkraftwerken
• Uninterruptable Power Supply in 400 V AC section constructed as static division
• Uninterruptable Power Supply in 400 V AC division constructed as dynamic system
• Uninterruptable Power Supply in 48 V DC division
